Today was a really interesting day. And for those of you who know me and think I am super outgoing and social, I actually spend quite a lot of time by myself at home. I am super social for my job, but I often feel stuck, in a rut, alone, you know, all of that good stuff, like we all do. I invited someone I didnt know yet to go surf with me today (she is coming with us to Panama in Oct). We had a such a fun day surfing, and then I met another girl who is in my surf club that I have never met before because she saw my car sign and introduced herself, we met another girl in the water with a cool surf board and talked about places to go for next week, and ran into another friend of mine who introduced me to another woman out surfing that I always see and have never said hi to. Plus I saw 2 ladies that I taught surf lessons to maybe 7 years ago having a great day. Sometimes we stay in our own comfort zones, we dont allow ourselves to be vulnerable and meet new people. And there really are a ton of people out there looking to hang out and spend time with people just like you. Make it your mission to do things with new people, make a new friend, share an awesome sunny day with people who like to do what you like to do. It is really refreshing. I am so glad I went out today.
