Today was a sad experience for me as I exchanged merchandise at Wal-Mart and went through check-out. There was a half ham lying on the counter that someone had not been able to purchase. I asked the ELDERLY LADY CLERK about it, and she said the man did not have enough money to pay for all his food. Someone behind the man offered to pay for it, but there was a decline in the offer. It made me so sad that I was able to purchase clothing items we could probably do without, but someone else could not purchase a ham for Christmas.
