Today was a very emotional day for my family and I. After seeing my farther in a medicated coma since Sunday and being by his side everyday and every minute that we could the doctors decided that he was doing well enough to take him out of it. Today I went to the hospital and my farther was awake, it was very emotional for him to see his wife and kids for the first time since Sunday and it was extremely emotional for us as well. I cant even begin to explain the feeling of relief and joy that I felt, for the fist time since hes been in the hospital I didnt cry tears of saddest today it was tears of joy. To hear his voice today, even tho it was tuff for him to talk made me the happiest Ive felt in a long time. Just knowing that last week when I last talked to him wasnt gonna be my last conversation with him brought up so many emotions, the feeling of joy was indescribable.. I really really really cant thank everyone enough for all of the support my family got and is getting through this time of need. I dont know when my dad will be able to return home it probably wont be for at least another week or two. But overall hes doing much better and hes making great progress and I can definitely say today was a great day!
