Today was a very hot and humid day which started out with rain showers. We have zucchini, bush green beans, cucumbers, tomatoes, cayenne, jalapeno and green/red peppers, lettuce, strawberries and blueberries in our garden. We have 2 little guinea keets still in the brooder and some bees in a top- bar hive. We have been eating omelets the past two mornings made from our chicken eggs, and they have been so good! One thing about living on a little piece of land out in the country is that there is always something to do, or something that needs to be done! I do not think it is possible for me ever to get bored. If the work is finished outside, there is plenty of work to do inside. If by some miracle the work is finished inside (but is it ever, really?), there are lots of books to read, things to write, and little people to be with. It is an on-going adventure that never gets old. I am thankful for the privilege.
