Today was a very interesting day in many ways. As I am waiting on my refills which by the way I had called in last Thursday & they are mailed to my home and the clerk tells me that they had trouble with their phone lines last week but no one called to tell me their was an issue...I noticed they hadnt come to the house & I would have been out of my HIV meds tonight...so I am standing at the UK pharmacy counter and the pharmacy clerk tells me I have no more refills. Well thats odd because I just saw Dr Nancy Mullins in June after finally being rescheduled three months later than an originally scheduled appointment in February which Dr Mullins took note that I needed refills and even switched my Flonase to Bacanase so I know I am not forgetting stuff...so I go upstairs to the Bluegrass Care Clinic to inquire about my refills and my recent appointment. Well kiss my butt if they didnt have any record of me being there in June. The attendant tries to lay it off on their switching over to an all electronic system....BULL...I am really tired of the run around that I get because I am in a system where they think they are the only game in treatment. I feel sorry for the clerks that have to blatantly LIE for the Drs there. I politely reminded her that in fact I had been there in June and had a couple of prescription changes. Long story short...Three hours later I get my refills. Thankful because they are what keep me alive and relatively healthy. As I am driving home I get a call from the Bluegrass Care Clinic wanting me to make an appointment because I need to see Dr Mullins before November (which is the date set by Dr Mullins from my visit in June)...GIVE ME A F#CKING BREAK...are u serious? DISGUSTED & feeling somewhat leery about my managed care at the University of Kentucky...dont get me wrong I am thankful to be treated and alive...but if you arent able or not capable to manage your care & keep up with your records...I can see where you would fall through the cracks.
