Today was clear out the chest freezer day. I reduced the contents by about a third, and: - cooked and canned eight pints of chicken stock (four carcasses); - cooked and pitted two bags of green apricots; - peeled, thawed, and am currently cooking a couple of gallons worth of tomatoes from a few years ago; - did the dishes twice; - made a batch of peach ice cream. I also put another coat of poly on my soon-to-be keyboard tray, and took Wellington to the vet. Tomorrow I may take Wellie to the vet again (they still need a urine sample) and strain/can the tomato sauce Im cooking tonight. On the deck is canning whole tomatoes (featuring Podarok Fei) and pulling out some of the black cherries I didnt know I had so many of, to pack them into a form suitable for ice cream later. All this around the two projects I have to make progress on, the bike sculpture and the harp. Im going to need a weekend after my weekend...
