Today was good. I got a hair cut and now the moment when I could - TopicsExpress

Today was good. I got a hair cut and now the moment when I could not see very much out of the right eye has past. Who knew I just needed a hair cut? LOL. I also saw the eye doctor and got good report from him. The injection of azurdex into right eye has worked and today there is only minor swelling of the macula compared to severe swelling before the injection. I actually could see 20/20 in the right eye today. He will go back to avastin shot next month to try to maintain the improvement we have there. As for the left eye the report is not so good. There is still a lot of blood in the eye that is blocking the light. Imagine how funny that I am complaining because I can not see out of it and they were complaining that they could not see into it. lol. Our plan of action at this time is do nothing for now. I can distinguish light from dark and that says that the ability to see is still there. It is just blocked at this time. The fluid in your eye is regenerated about every 4 to 6 weeks. It has been about 4 weeks already and I am still not seeing out. It is probable that there was continued bleeding going on and so the blood has not yet cleared because it kept bleeding. We think the bleeding has stopped at this time and if so I should start getting clearer soon. If it does not clear by middle of next month we may have to do victorectomy and tissue peel to get it under control. That is something we will discuss next time if need be. Your continued prayers are much appreciated. God is awesome and I do believe that he uses good men like Dr Brooks to work his miracles. That office was runnning behind today and several people were complaining about the long wait. I thought they were not familiar with what Dr Brooks does or they would not have been complaining like that. That man gives you hope to see and if you have ever woke up not able to see and you were the emergency He saw you understand that others may need him worse than you at the moment and with the gift of sight he gives back to you I would gladly sit and wait all day long if needed. I told the nurse attending me to today how much I appreciate them because she was getting somewhat overwhelmed by the complainers. I told her not to let them get her down and that as for me I would gladly sit in Hells waiting room all day to wait my turn to see them because I really appreciate the gift of sight that they help to give back to me. I think she felt better after that. I know that I did.
