Today was kind of a scary day. This big, bald, white guy came down our driveway in a great big black tow truck with no markings and was looking at our vehicles. I asked him who he was and what he wanted and he said he was there to repossess a vehicle. I said who are you and what vehicle? He looked around like he was trying to decide and then said the Suburban. He said it was about Art McElroy. I said hed been dead 15 years and never owned any of the vehicles on the place. My stepfather never owed any money when he passed away. He said, well, it was about Arts son. I said his sons dont live around here and have never lived here and I told him to show me papers or a phone number so I can straighten this out. He said that was confidential. I told him I was calling the cops and to get off my property. I called dispatch and they said theyd try to call me or get someone up there. He said hed wait and I told him again to get off our property. He drove up to the top of the driveway and talked to the neighbor but took off when the neighbor tried to get his plate number. A deputy came up and said that is an actual repo guy, but again, I know we have no liens and my stepfather didnt either. Guy should be careful, up in this area he could well get shot trying to take off with someones cars. Im in the Tide Creek area so might be watching out for this guy, get a photo of him, in case he is actually just looking to steal some cars.
