Today was one of the most enjoyable, impacting worship events Ive ever attended. We met outdoors surrounded by a beautiful pond, colorful landscaping with people walking by...no sound system, no ornate building, no churchy stuff...just friends, worship, a message, and nature. Cant explain how peace-filled the atmosphere was. I never want normal church. Our generation is turned off by an inside-the-walls religion. They are desperate for whats real. An outdoor worship service is merely an environment, but it does strip away some of the facade we often find in stuffy buildings. We hope to have a building someday as there are many uses. But, until then, I hope we can find public places to share the Gospel of Christ. Jesus went to people. Preached on hillsides. It just feels right.
