Today we are blessed with so many outlets for music that its impossible to navigate through all the streams. You create a playlist on just about any device and not have to worry about changing media, station etc for hours or days. Now go back a few generations when vinyl was the only source and walkmans didnt exist. Your playlist was a stack of records. Cars in those days had AM radio. You had to turn the dial to change stations. However....if you wanted to create a playlist...you were in luck. A couple manufacturers offered a 45RPM record changer for cars.
