Today, we gather to thank The City of West Memphis and Mayor Bill Johnson, and the West Memphis Fire Dept and Chief Wayne Gately for helping make this opportunity available. We also would like to thank West Memphis Paramedic Nicholas Shuburte, who serves with Ark National Guard, for nominating his supervisor the ESGR Patriot Award. The E-S-G-R Patriot Award recognizes supervisors, bosses and businesses nominated by a Guardsman/Reservist employee for the support provided directly to them -- and to other veterans thus making it possible for them to do their civilian jobs as employees and to serve our country at the same time ….
