Today we got very awesome news. Sandy called me....and as of Friday she will be cancer-free! Her lumpectomy is scheduled and she is elated to be rid of the affected tissues! And the doctor doesnt have to remove extra lymph nodes! Just the affected ones! (Her ultrasound showed no VISIBLE cancer!) My pal, my bestie, the kindest human being I have ever come across... has been through a lot. And even though she still has a long road ahead of her, we are all celebrating this Fridays surgery! Thank you, God! I think Abby said it best, after we got off the phone with her, She beat cancer cuz she is so strong, Mom! I agree. Love you pal!
