Today we head up to Portland to meet with a Dr to see about when we can schedule Lincoln for surgery, to have his port removed. I remember the day 3.5 years ago when he had it placed, such a HARD day. Little guy had been on steroids for 23 days straight, he was puffy and big, moody, out of control and all of this was still so new for him. I remember different staff coming in trying to calm him down, me laughing in my own head thinking Ive tried that, Im not a mom thats not involved I have tried all that you are trying, but if it makes you feel better, go ahead and try. I remember them wheeling him off into surgery and him crying for me. I remember he so wanted papa Bob to buy him a donut (He had been fasting for hours and of course his surgery was delayed). But thankful that even though that was a tough, hard day, God saw us through. He gave me the strength for that momen,t for that time, just like He does everyday. Everyday He is equipping us with what we will need to face what ever might come our way, the good and the bad. In the midst of the storm, the challenges, we always wonder how we will make it, how we will get through it, yet we do. Its definitly not in our own strength or power. We might like to think it is, but its not. Its only in and through Him. So when the challenge arises, when the storm comes crashing down, remember that it doesnt take Him by surprise, He already has a plan, He already knows the outcome. Trust in Him, lean on Him, believe in Him...... HE WILL SEE YOU THROUGH!
