Today we met with the radiation oncologist for Joes evaluation. We really like him—hes very encouraging while being realistic. We made an appointment for Monday for another CT scan and for Joe to be fitted with a mesh mask for his treatments, which will be every weekday for 6 or 7 weeks (weve heard both). Im on hold right now with the specialty pharmacy to schedule delivery of the Temodar, his chemo drug, which he will start the day he starts radiation. Looks like both will begin next week. Ill update with specific dates when I know them. We also have our appointment for his physical and occupational therapy evaluation at Casa Colina on Friday. Dr. Woodhouse today told him to keep building strength but not to wear himself out. I look forward to seeing what the therapists will recommend. Joe has always been so fit and muscular. But lifting weights and punching the heavy bag dont seem to be on the agenda these days...
