Today we saw a woman so desperate to get away from her boyfriend she tried to jump from a car doing 45 miles per hour. I was driving and hit my brake as Beth sitting beside me gasped. John told me to turn around quick and chase then for we feared for the womans life. We found them on the side of the road the man was throwing the womans back pack on the ground. I asked point blank if the man was hurting the woman she looked afraid and was bleeding. He came toward me not knowing my husband was in the back and had his seat belt undone, I told the lady to come to me for the park rangers were on their way the man hearing this jumped in his car and left the poor woman on the side of the road barefoot and without her clothes or purse. We stayed with her and cleaned her wounds and Beth gave her a pair of shoes. I told her there was life after abuse and there was a beautiful God that would help her find her way, she looked at me with hope in her eyes as I hugged her goodbye. As I turned and looked at her one last time she was hugging the shoes Beth gave her. May God be with her .....please pray for her and millions more that suffer from domestic violence.
