Today we say goodbye to AirTran. AirTran Airways came to CRW in June 2009 and gave us 3 amazing years of reliable, friendly, low-fare flights to Orlando before being purchased and removed from the market in 2012. Over the past few years, the airline has slowly been absorbed into Southwest Airlines and today is the final day of AirTran flying, everywhere. In their 3 years here, AirTran created some amazing memories for passengers, employees, and the airport as a whole. We want to say thank you, AirTran, for giving our city and our region an opportunity to prove ourselves as a viable market for a low cost carrier. You will be missed.
