Today we woke to the news that sound on sound magazine wished to feature our studio in their magazine for a high end mastering article. As a frequent reader and subscriber to the magazine for many years this was not only an honour but something I’d always dreamed of doing from an early age. As soon as the article is published we will post a screenshot of what we had to say. Today started with making a few adjustments in the studio in preparation for the new equipment arriving. We also ordered and made space for our new SSL G-Series Bus Compressor for the X-Rack. Mastering for vinyl is a slightly different process than for digital / cd release, as the medium of vinyl is less forgiving. Although not explicitly requested, we also provided a second version for the client that was for digital / cd. Once all work was completed for the day we went out for some food with friends at Wildwood. Amazing food especially their steak and peppercorn sauce.
