Today when I went to Grove for Tupperware business, I had Derrick Pape, grandson, along. I was pointing out dogwood, redbud, pecan elm trees and he said, Nana, Im not seeing what you are. So I told him the Legend of the dogwood. On our return trip, we came a different way, and I pulled off the road and he and I hiked up a hill and gathered a few branches to bring home. So, now there are two vases filled--and I stuck a couple branches into the potting soil I had sitting outside. Well see. The house smells so good--lilacs, daffodils and now the dogwood. I Love going into Anns Flowers, to just smell! Love it!
