Today, while doing my stocking, I over heard on the news a man ( I am unsure of his title ) say It is my fault. I did not let everyone know they should be living at alternate times to avoid the freezing weather ( he was referring to the freeze in Georgia or Alabama, not sure which ) Now IM para phrasing, I dont remember the exact quote. I asked out loud, how if the the the citizens were warned of the bad weather, of the freezing ice and snow headed their way, they could blame this ONE MAN for all the wrecks, the stalled traffic and generally, being caught out in it. there was gentleman standing there and he responded as though the question was aimed at him. He responded everyone has forever looked for someone to blame since the fall of Adam . ( and here comes the point of my post .. or we are heading in that direction ) ... The fall of Adam.. was it his fault? Was it Eves fault? The snake.. even dare I suggest Gods? No.. friends, it was Adams fault. God told Adam. God told Eve. God insisted Adam keep his house in order. Insisted, he stay away from the tree of knowledge. Granted, the snake tempted, Eve stepped up and offered too, but Adam could have said no. He could have insisted his mate/wife step away from the Satans whispers. He didnt. God held him accountable for his actions , though I am sure Adam tried to blame Satan and Eve. He was given the responsibility to take lead of his home, of his wife, of his own faith. He failed. We will all be held accountable .. on judgement day. Have we accepted Christ as our personal savior? Have we lead our life as God insists? Men can you be accountable for the condition of your own home? Wives are you listening? We will have noone to blame. Noone will jump up and say hey I got this . Christ has already done that... we are accountable now for the rest. By his stripes we are saved.
