Today, while driving home from the gym down 47th st., I see a billboard for Takis chips. Here is what was on the board, Tell the school nurse, you were twerking. #TaketheDare. I was astonished, shocked, disappointed, enraged, and in complete awe. Was it a coincidence that two schools were across the street? Was it a coincidence that this advertisement was in the heart of the hood? I think NOT!! I havent seen this sign in Lilly White suburbia, or Gold Coast, or the Loop. Im fed up with African Americans being used as pawns in a global economy in which their health, wealth, and sanity are being manipulated for pennies on the dollar. We need to find someway to self preserve, if not the preservatives of others will lead to our demise...
