Today will see increasing cloudiness with cool temperatures, but it will be dry. Expect highs today to only be in the mid to upper 30s. Tonight rain will overspread the area east of the Blue Ridge. Rain could be heavy at times, especially east of I-95. In the Potomac Highlands up to an inch of snow will be possible. Tuesday will see diminishing rainfall, but it will become breezy with continued cooler than normal temperatures. Highs will be in the lower 40s over much of the area. The central Shenandoah Valley will be the warm spot on Tuesday with some sunshine developing by afternoon with highs in the upper 40s.
