Today would have been Tanguys 39 birthday, but life decided another way. He died in the plane crash in Gelbressée (Belgium) last October. May you rest in peace dear friend. I dont want to take advantage of this but I cant shake the tought of my mind and heart, so here I go: When I composed this song a few years ago, I hadnt any idea what kind of lyrics I would put on it. Jack Jac, the singer and lyrics writer of my band The Fitz came up with the idea of a flight. The lyrics she wrote expressed what was going on in my soul. The song talks about ones Flight, with all its adventures and dangers, its about taking your freedom. Then, came that fatal day, where you my friend passed away, in that horrible crash. Since then this song has taken a whole other feeling and meaning. Each time I listen to it and each time I play it with the band, I feel youre along my side.
