Today would have been my beloved Uncle Bobbys 92nd birthday Robert Atkins Haupt born April 3rd,1922 and passed away on Jan 20,2014. May he Rest In Peace. He was not just a great uncle but more of a father figure to me, with out question. He played hard ball with me and thats to say the least, much of my successes in life today I contribute to the guidance and leadership he showed and instilled in me over the years since childhood. I was his name sake, my mother named me after him Robert Haupt Keating which of course always made me feel to be a great part of his life. He was one of those ZERO tolerance type guys and thats mildly putting it. He was born and raised in ST.Louis, MO and then after World War 2 he settled in southern California.He passed away in the privacy of his own home in Rancho Park,West Los Angeles, California. His health was declining for several years his suffering was minimal for he was under hospice care in his home. He passed away in his sleep of old age and moved home to heaven to be with the rest of his family. He was the middle child of three children, his baby sister of 2 yrs was my mother Gloria who moved home to heaven in 1971 and his older brother of 2 yrs Oliver who moved home to heaven in 1984. He was survived by his wife Betty whom he was with since 1968 and was also survived by my sister Cynthia and both my older brothers Edward Keating and Kevin KeatingGerri Bucci Keatingand also his great nieces Jen McClanaghan, Caitlin Keating and Emily Rose Keating and his great nephew Kevin Keating Jr ... He was a graduate of UCLA also a World War 2 Veteran served 4 years US Army Infantry Diviision. He spent 20 years with Merryll Lynch as a Stock Broker then spent 30 yrs as a CLU Chartered Life Underwriter in the insurance industry. He was a very patriotic and most conservative in his political views. He was ALWAYS there for me through thick and thin and will be greatly missed. Today he is celebrating his 92 birthday in heaven. I believe in my heart that he will be watching over me for ever. May God Bless Him and may he rest in peace ! Georjana Macri
