Today would have been the birthday of Miles Dutton Sr. I was so - TopicsExpress

Today would have been the birthday of Miles Dutton Sr. I was so blessed to have such an incredible Dad. He looked like Alfred Hitchcock. He believed I could do or be anything. He never limited my dreams and he was always supportive of even my wildest dreams. I made him cry when I moved to Atlanta to teach. He loved the fact that I was so independent yet I think I scared him with my independence, I know both my parents were in shock when I went to Lake Tahoe during the summer and was a keno girl at Sahara Tahoe. The only reason I could take my adventures was because he believed in me. I remember as a very young child his involvement in my life and my achievements. As I mentioned before, when I was sick he would buy me peppermint carnations from the street vendor. I was always treasured and I knew. What a gift to give your child. He died when I was 21 but his spirit, and his voice and his strength remain with me today. I know I was blessed.
