Today wouldve been my husbands 39th birthday. He was a truly amazing person. He lived his life fully and accepted his disease as a part of him. When he was a teenager, he was a lifeguard, and played soccer.. He went to college across state.... He fell in love (often lol)... He was an artist and writer... He made many, many friends who stood by him... He inspired others... If he could say anything to the parents of children with CF, it would be to let them fall and scrape their knees...let them live without the burden of feeling fragile, if only for a little while... Let them find themselves and dream of normal things... He was never in denial of his disease, but he was allowed to be so much more. I miss him every day.
