Today you will hear good news. In developing the right ethics, you need to know what is right and wrong; and what is acceptable or not. You may have told a lie before to avoid shame, but you can chose to speak the truth always, knowing that lying will eventually make you lack credibility. It is not always easy to do the right thing but you can choose to do it anyway. Different organisations or communities have their own codes of conduct peculiar to their mode of operation.What is applicable or accepted in a particular place may not be in another place. So you need to study your present environment to know what is accepted and what is not and adhere to it. What you consider to be right or wrong will determine the kind of ethics you live by. Do you consider stealing to be right or wrong? Do you consider mediocrity to be right or wrong? Some people may say it depends on the given circumstance. I would say that principles are principles any day and any time. What you stand for will determine what you will not fall for and what you believe in will in turn influence your manner of behaviour and actions.
