Today youre NINE years old, our darling son, Ethan and we keep wondering, where have all the years gone. We had prayed and trusted God for a child and then after all the years of working with children, we thought, maybe God just wanted us to love and care for other peoples children in our childrens and church school ministry. Almost 13 years in marriage and no children in sight, we decided to lay it all on the altar and worshiped the Lord, giving thanks for all the other sons and daughters who were in our lives. Then, after 6 months, though not waiting anymore, God, in His infinite love and mercy, gave you to us! We bless the day we found you and received you as a precious gift from the good Lord to us. You are very precious to us and though we know our part is to train you up in the way you should go, and to release you into the destiny God has prepared for you, we still are so glad to be a part of your gifted life and will spend every day imparting to and teaching you about God, as we discover Him each day in our own lives. We love you, dear Ethan and appreciate you as a wondrous gift from our ever loving heavenly Father. --Thank You, Lord, for this precious gift. Lead him in the way he should go that he will never depart from You and Your holy ways. Bless him dearly and grant him all that You have prepared for him. May he outshine us in life and ministry, be a better parent, a better father, a better preacher and a humble servant of the most high God. Bless Your holy name forever.
