Todays BC Liberal spin message brought to you by the CBC. This opinion piece linked here is from the CBC legislative reporter Stephen Smart (who is married to Christy Clarks media adviser Rebecca Scott). Rough sum up he says BC Teachers and the BC Government have been unwilling to compromise to get students back in class. Not once has either side come out with any potential solutions that are both creative and realistic. I guess he missed all the stuff the Teachers erased off the table to get a deal done. He keeps citing over and over again in all his pieces the one abnormality where the government lost in a binding arbitration agreement. He never quotes the thousands of other binding arbitration deals that worked out for both sides or in the government favor...nor the fact Christy Clarks government put out a piece in favor of binding arbitration during the last dispute with teachers.
