Todays Devotion Title: Jesus Respects Your Privacy! Text: John 5: 6 When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, Do you want to get well? Amen What a strange question to ask a man who has been ill for such a long time! Dont be misled! The saviour never expresses such wiered sense of humour with this degree of sarcasm. He was just asking for the mans permission to save him. It is amazing how people have felt they do not need God. The very situations they think they are in control of rather ruins their lives every day. What is equally amazing is the fact that our Lord Jesus never imposes His will on anyone, He respects the limits you give Him. What He does is to admonish, convict, encourage,reason with you and knock. He says in Rev 3: 20: Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. He never said He will break in. Dont expect Jesus to set your life straight and bless you when you have not invited Him in. Dont accuse Him of negligence when you were never His by your own will, choice and action. He is such a perfect Gentleman. He will never disregard your privacy and break in. He knocks again today. Let Him fix that heart that is weary and almost broken. It is not worth keeping Him out. Be nice and open up. Let Him in! HE COMES ONLY TO DO YOU GOOD. Begin to pray now! Amen.
