Snowfall rates may be heavy at times and travel through the Cascades and Siskiyous will be impacted. Snow level this morning near 7000 feet lowering to near 2000 feet tonight. Expect 2 - 4 inches on I 5 in the Siskiyous by tonight, with 4 - 8 inches in the passes of the Cascades. Areas east of the Cascades and in Northern California above 2500 feet will see 1 - 3 inches of snow. Highs will be in the upper 40s for the valleys, with 30s to the low 40s for the mountains and east of the Cascades. Overnight, chance for showers. The showers may be mixed rain and snow on the valley floors through around 8 am on Christmas morning. Lows will be in the low 30s for the valleys, and in the teens and 20s for the mountains and east of the Cascades.
