Todays Musing Today is the anniversary of my mothers passing, she was a tremendous influence in my life in so many ways. The greatest gift of all was the unconditional love and admiration that she unabashedly demonstrated to me and really to all those that she loved. She had an amazing ability to be present with people and see the love, kindness and beauty no matter what they were doing. The depth of her compassion and forgiveness was truly profound. I am grateful for her presence in my life and miss her today. Love you Marilyn. Here is what I wrote on the program from her service: Thank you for loving us unconditionally. Thank you for participating in our lives and what was important to us so much so, we thought you loved it too. Thank you for teaching us that it is the relationship with us that was the most important part, the activity was just a vehicle to connect. Whether it was baking cookies, making jam, watching a game, creating a holiday meal or decorating our rooms it was all about the experience, knowing that we were loved- what we needed or wanted being honored. Thank you for creating beauty in this world, bringing loving and blessings into the world through all of your expression. Thank you for modeling how to live with the innocence of a child and to try new things as a way to live more fully in the moment. Thank you for the blessing of your loving- for showing us how to live out loud, express our hearts and to honor ourselves, and each other. Thank you for holding us to honoring our path by supporting us in whatever we chose, however we expressed, and for supporting us in loving whomever we love. Thank you for teaching us that we have a choice and the greatest choice is love. Thank you for teaching us to keep moving and growing and learning, like when dad died, and you moved across the country and started your next chapter. Thank you for showing us that it is never too late to learn and live fully in our lives, that there is no time like now to create, bless and love. Thank you for showing us how to be true to our hearts, say yes to love and no to anything that is not. The world is a better place with you having been here with us.
