Todays News: I just read a blurb about the Lincoln movie which stated that he was trying to deal w/his wife being mentally ill. Since Ive discovered, uncovered so much information about him and his family from sources no one else has I personally and professionally doubt the accuracy of this comment. Mary had many legitimate concerns which were libeled/slandered and deliberately misconstrued by opposing politicians who opposed equality, etc. There was solid proof that Lincoln, other family members had been threatened by extremists/murderers; that unsanitary conditions in The White House caused serious illnesses that killed people including their child; that she had political connections down South that gave her great insight and never forgave her for marrying a Unionist, etc. Shed also suffered a brain trauma following an accident in Lincolns carriage which was supposed to cause his death. People disliked her fashionable dress, good manners, outspoken political astuteness, criticisms that The White House was neglected/shabby/embarrassing for Presidents to entertain diplomats, etc.
