Todays Referendum Thoughts Continuous reports of Labour Party - TopicsExpress

Todays Referendum Thoughts Continuous reports of Labour Party canvassers telling pensioners theyll lose their pension and Poles that theyll be sent back to Poland if they vote Yes. Therell be a reckoning for Labour, people will know who lied to them. Cruel and heartless. Bernard Ponsonby reduced the entire interview with the FM tonight to money and barely let him get a word in edgeways - I guess Bernard is a No then? I wonder how the Telly selects its interviewees? There seems to be an inevitability that the No interviewees are English and the Yesses are Scots. This seems to me to be playing a dangerous game as it creates the impression that all English are against Indy. This is not the case, I know plenty of English people who are voting Yes. Maybe the journos are lazy sods who home in on accents or perhaps it is deliberate? Are they trying to create a Scots v English split? Minor fluctuations in the value of the pound have been given big licks portending the fall of civilisation, entirely meaningless. The markets dont like uncertainty scenario was given another outing. I might have sympathy for that argument if they werent part of a system that is inherently unstable and no one does anything about it! On the subject of No campaign lies I saw a piece where a woman was interviewed in the borders and had been told shed have to pay a toll to cross the border with a yes vote. Another woman said shed move out of Scotland. I recall people saying theyd have to move country if Tony Blair was elected - funnily enough they are still here :-) I wonder how low the No campaign will sink in the next few days?
