Todays SOLARACTIVITY PICTURE OF THE DAY is another collaboration. This time Claude Plymate posted a high-res image shot at Big Bear for members to play with and hone their processing skills, and right about there is where Gabriel Corban comes in. He downloaded the huge file and got busy. The marvelously detailed granulation shot below is the result. Gabriel Corban said: Understanding the new features seen on photo-sphere (WL). The high resolution assured by BB Solar Observatory captures, allows us to better see: THE MINI-GRANULES. You can see them on this pictures, there are everywhere inserted or separately, between big granules. Also you may observe kind of micro-pores developed on some of biggest granules. Thanks go out to both Claude and Gabriel for sharing the fruits of their labors with us all.
