Todays Shareable: So I have this theory: the more confident we humans become in our importance and ability to be in control, the more God allows us to see how ridiculously vast the universe is and how relatively small we are in comparison. I watched this video today and was blown away. Our planet, this tiny speck in our galaxy, our galaxy this tiny speck among millions of galaxies in just one cluster of galaxies. How often do I over-inflate myself, my struggles, my power, my rights, my importance, my problems? How often do I look at my life as if I were the center of the world, which is the center of the galaxy, which is the center of the universe? And yet, when I watch this video, I consider the vastness of the universe that God holds in his hands. And I consider the vastness of the God who can create and sustain this vast universe. And I consider the vastness of the love of this vast God to somehow, for our sake, contain this vastness in a human being, a speck within a speck within a speck. And I consider the vastness of the possibilities when we come to this Speck we call Christ, and begin to enter into the vastness of Gods Godness. When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? Psalm 8:4 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in Christ, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.
