Todays Song Share is my original song, Troubled Heart. I wrote this song on Shanes acoustic guitar in my bedroom at my parents house in Oklahoma in half an hour back in 2010. It did not make it on my 2010 EP, but I always felt a very strong connection to it and knew I had to put it on my latest CD, Time Moves On. If you ever feel like you are stuck, lost, confused, or overwhelmed, then you know exactly where I was at when I wrote this song. There are times in life when we know deep down that a change must be made in order to move forward and that its going to be anything but easy. That is the foundation of Troubled Heart. Im so honored that American Songwriter Magazine did a feature on the song earlier this year and that Garage Light Films, LLC helped me make my vision of the music video come to life. In the bridge section I reference holding on to someone to get me through the rough patch. We always have a someone, be it a person in our lives and/or God up above, whether we know it or not, to help get us through the tough times. Know that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, no matter how dark it may seem.
