Todays Zaman: Yet while they are direct competitors in the federation, the DF, SBB BiH, SDA BiH and Party for Bosnia and Herzegovina, along with the Croat Party of Rights (HSP BiH), will run as a coalition in the Republika Srpska, under the symbolic name of “Domovina” (Homeland). These parties hope to elect eight to 12 representatives in the National Assembly of the republic. These seats could become decisive in forming the future Republika Srpska government, one led either by the SNSD or the SDS. The Domovina list is counting on the votes of Bosniak and Croat returnees but also displaced Bosnians and Herzegovinians throughout the world, who still have the right to register to vote in BiH. Current polling data shows that the number of registered voters from abroad grew for the first time in a decade. Success by the Domovina list may lead to a different approach in the formation of state-level governments as well and make the process of forming parliamentary majorities more constructive in the years to come.
