Todays announcement of Former Golden Tiger Head Basketball Leon Douglas picked to lead Miles s Basketball Program Makes A Prolific Statement , It Sends A Profound Message To Golden Tiger Alumni, Friends, And Fans Messasge...That We Must Learn From This Ordeal ...Miles and other programs in our circle are stepping up their game and will recruit successfully Golden Tiger Coaches. While I joined many Tuskegee Alumni and Friends in being optimistic. ., I thought perhaps Coach would reconsider and perhaps with the Changing Of The Guard at Mother Tuskegee. ..I am sure there might have been some attempts. ..?...There Was Still Hope......I was wrong ...! And yes there were thoughts that we might see a reoccurrence of what Coach Rick Comegy did when he scooted up to Norfolk and a few days later announced he was not leaving Tuskegee....I was wrong again.I hope and pray that this stinger to our Atheletics will be a lesson learned and we will self study our Atheletic Program and take corrective action. This entire process is no indictment on an individual or a group , it is an insult to us all.We must place our money where are mouths are and address contractual agreements and arrangements, coupled with establishing adequate funded booster clubs to supplement support for atheletics and the mission of Mother Tuskegee .If not, who will take us seriously. Miles realized that and went after our Coach, leaving an immediate void to fill ..We must go to work improve our game ..We Must Go To Work And Mitigate Our Risks.....Tuskegee Deserves The Best, After All We Are Champions On The Field And Off.We must not allow anyone to steal our JOY!
