Todays evangelical world seem extremely susceptible to measuring the value or worth of scriptural application by a results-based quotient. Pure, unabashed, exposition of the Word, presented by humble shepherds, fully submitted to the will of God, is the only Biblically demonstrated means. Weve lost perspective, projecting rockstar status onto supposed pastors. Unfortunately, these leaders are so shallow in their theology, that they too, start to believe they deserve the praise & adoration of the sheeple. Today, the movements from within Christendom are likely, a greater threat, than the obviously, God hating element on the outside. (Social gospel, seeker sensitive, watered down, bloodless cross) If we are to reach this lost & hurting world with the Good News (Gospel), we MUST clean up our own houses. Word by word, verse by verse, exposition of the Word of God, is the only hope. The true Gospel of Jesus Christ is the message, & Jesus, Himself, the Cure.
