Todays patient report - resting and having a visit with a friend and her son - sitting on the sunny porch. Walked very, very slowly a bit up and down the sidewalk to admire the flowers and picked a handful of ripe cherry tomatoes for lunch in the back yard. Had a lay down in the morning, before lunch, mid afternoon and nap just now. Pain med free for 24 hours. Shoulders are much better, tummy twitches occasionally - but not painfully. Am able to lay flat on my back - such a relief. It really is true that my body tells me in no uncertain terms that Ive been up and about for too long and the absolute need to lay down RIGHT now really does overwhelm any mental desire to do anything I just had in my hands. Delivery of super-yummy-looking mac and cheese from my amazing neighbour and friend Dvorah! Thank you so much! Richard in chef mode decided it will be dinner for tonight with some steamed broccoli.
