Todays pondering: Look, I love T.Swifty as much as the next mom of children age 5-15. But Im wondering how is it that she has this long wrap sheet of celebrities males shes dated and still keeps her lily white image? If Rhianna or Arianna Grande had a chain chain chain of 15-20 celeb males theyd dated in the last two years... would the media even use the term dated? Would they avoid the slut shaming we often see, (similar to the thug labeling black boys get for the same behaviors white boys get called mischievous for)? I mean, hear what Im not saying- Im not saying we *should* slut shame Taylor (or anyone, ever, its completely unhelpful). Im asking how and why does she get a free pass? Because shes a girl next door looking white girl? Because shes a Christian? Because of the type of music she makes (or doesnt make)? Because she dresses and carries herself somewhat conservatively? All these things are superficial though... Im not calling for her head on a platter. Im saying why do many other women, especially women of color get their heads served up and she remains the role model for many? Seriously looking to better understand this... Whatre your thoughts? Am I crazy?
