Todays report from beautiful Soweto township: First off, yinzers, there is a sammich in Soweto that is suspiciously similar to Primantis, with fries on it (and fresh mango, and a bunch of odd deli meats, plus a side of sausage and a hot dog)! Its called a kota and it will make you need to nap afterward. Second, they sell their wonderful S African wines in grocery stores, like any civilized place (ahem, PA, take note.) We met our 4th photographer/teacher today, the lovely young Tila Nomvula Mathizerd, and saw an opening at the art gallery in Orlando West that will be displaying our work at the end of July, Mashumi Art Projects. There are 5.5 million people living in Soweto! Lots of kids running everywhere, lots to keep you energized!
