Todays rescues have reminded us just how fragile kittens and puppies are when they are left to fend for themselves against the elements. First thing this morning was our little kitten rescue, and now this little pup. We got a frantic call this afternoon from a man in an industrial area. A puppy had wandered into his warehouse that looked very sick and could barely walk. We asked him to rush it to us and were horrified to see the condition she was in. She has severe tick bite fever (billary). She was immediately admitted and put on a drip and given emergency treatment. Please keep this little girl a moment of your thoughts and send her strength, she really needs it. At least we know that she is warm, safe and being treated but we dont know if she is strong enough to pull through.
