David and Gina McGee founded McGee Farms Performance Horses in 2011 after their passion for the reining horse industry. The McGees purchased their first reining horse in 2008 and began showing the next year. It did not take long before they were hooked by the reining bug. The consider themselves extremely fortunate to have one of the best trainers in the country to train with, not to mention, the opportunity to have access to some of the most talented horses the industry has to offer. Another asset to our success is having our very own Resident Trainer on-site. In January 2013, McGee Farms Performance Horses welcomed Wes Holmes of Knoxville, TN to the team. Wes trains the majority of the 2 year olds after they are sent home from training with Clinton Anderson. Wes also finishes our 3 year olds and gets them ready for their debut year, not to mention, assist training David and Gina on a daily basis with their Derby and Futurity horses.
