Todays summary: Durood Majlis 22/01/2015 Hadhrat Maulana Adam Sahib DB Hazrat Umme Haani radiyallahu anha (a cousin of Sayyidina Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam) says, “Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam came to me (to my house at the time when Makkah was conquered) and asked if there was something to eat. I replied, ‘Nothing besides dry bread and vinegar.’ Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam said, ‘Bring it. That house is not without a curry which has vinegar in it.”Hazrat Umme Haani radiyallahu anha (a cousin of Sayyidina Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam) says, “Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam came to me (to my house at the time when Makkah was conquered) and asked if there was something to eat. That house is not without a curry which has vinegar in it.” The one who eats good food to a full stomach for his whole life will fall ill. This is one of the wisdoms of fasting during Ramadhan, so we stay away from food and having a full stomach consistently. Even the doctors recommend to never eat till your stomach is full. Sometimes if you eat too much you may not be able to awake for fajr salah. This is a huge sin that many people are afflicted with due to their eating habits. You should eat good food, but not till youre completely full. Use your money for good, for charity, instead of buying extra food for yourself. Today Hadhrat DB was informing his students about Hadhrat Umar b. Abdul Aziz RA, the khalifa. Once when it was Eid, his wife informed him that the children dont have new clothes to wear and that all the people will have new clothes and see that the children of the khalifa dont have new clothes. So Hadhrat Umar b. Abdul Aziz RA wrote to the finance minister asking for half of the money of next months salary. The minister replied explaining that there was no assurance that the khalifa would be alive next month in order to earn this money so he was unable to give it to him. Hadhrat Umar b. Abdul Aziz RA started crying and made dua for the minister, whilst thanking Allah for giving him such a pious and truthful minister. Despite being the khalifa, when Hadhrat Umar b. Abdul Aziz RA was passing away, he owned little. A visitor made a remark regarding his inheritance, that he had not left his ten sons any possessions. Hadhrat Umar b. Abdul Aziz RA immediately asked for assistance to sit up. He then replied explaining that he had instilled in his sons the foundation of deen, and he had no doubt that Allah SWT would help them. As soon as he passed away, there became an immediate necessity for ten governors in different parts of the muslim empire. Each of his ten sons were offered the position. Along with the position, each received a mansion, large salary and wealth. SubhanAllah When someone eats a lot his health deteriorates. When someone has a lot of money he does not have fear and love for Allah SWT at the time of death. This is because they start to only care for their money and worldly items and dont want to die as they dont want to leave all their wealth (Except for the pious people- who dont even think about their house at the time of death) وَكَأَيِّن مِّن دَابَّةٍ لَّا تَحْمِلُ رِزْقَهَا اللَّهُ يَرْزُقُهَا وَإِيَّاكُمْ ۚ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُوَكَأَيِّن مِّن دَابَّةٍ لَّا تَحْمِلُ رِزْقَهَا اللَّهُ يَرْزُقُهَا وَإِيَّاكُمْ ۚ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ And how many a creature carries not its [own] provision. Allah provides for it and for you. And He is the Hearing, the Knowing And how many a creature carries not its [own] provision. Allah provides for it and for you. And He is the Hearing, the Knowing As you recite durood, the love for the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam will increase in your heart. Hadhrat Shibli RA would continuously make dua O Allah grant me your love If a child recites Surah Yaseen and sends the reward to his parents, the reward is uncountable. It is a huge benefit and great reward, when a child recites Quran for his parents. A child who has memorised the Quran will definitely recite for his parents and so they will receive great reward. After memorising the Quran it is of great benefit to become an Alim so that you are able to understand the Quran and the rulings of Quran. You should recite Surah Yaseen once daily and send the reward to your parents.
