Todays the day!!!! Time to get Todd Rokita out of office!!!! If anyone needs any more incentive, I bring you his reply to a recent correspondence I had with him urging him to stop fighting against the EPAs initiative to reduce coal. Here is the email in full: Dear Ms. Crook, Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to update you on my work on behalf of Hoosiers in the 113th Congress. I trust this finds you and your family well. In these tough economic times, putting the squeeze on the middle class is the last thing Washington, particularly the President, should do. Yet, energy policy from the President, in my opinion, does just that. Last month, the President Obamas Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), proposed new emission regulations. These regulations are the latest attack in the War on Coal, Indianas #1 energy source. Not only does coal meet 80% of Indianas energy needs, it also provides 2,500 jobs and contributes over $750 million to our economy. These proposed regulations, on top of the mountain of regulations that have already been issued since 2009, and are a direct threat to our economy and Hoosier family budgets. The increased costs of plant operation are also a threat to the thousands of coal jobs that Hoosiers rely on. I am taking action to stop these regulations to protect you and your family. I recently cosponsored legislation to stop these rules from taking effect, and this isnt the first volley in my defense of Hoosier families. I want to help Hoosier businesses create jobs. Through my Red Tape Rollback program, I have been fighting costly regulations that are keeping our economy from reaching its full potential.
