Todays #throwbackthursday takes us to the 2014 Auburn Spring Collector Car Auction where we got to witness a bidding war that doesnt happen often. This 1934 Chrysler Custom Imperial Airflow began as any other car as it crossed the block, but as the bid approached $110,000, a challenge like no other began. For nearly eight minutes, the high bid was exchanged between two bidders an astounding 84 times. Chief Auctioneer Brent Earlywine attempted to increase the increment, but it seemed the bidders were content with the increment, and the price continued to rise. After calling for oxygen, and to a rousing applause from the audience, the high bid went to the internet bidder at an astounding $194,000 hammer price.
