No matter how old I get I’m the first in line at the gate waiting to see Shamu. We make sure to see every show and ride every ride. It’s always an exciting day with my grandma, shamu and his friends. Hero: Not having a constant father figure was hard for me growing up, I clung to my brothers, Kelly and Chance, until they both moved out to follow their dreams. My freshmen year I met my math teacher and before long we were no longer had just a teacher/student or coach/athlete relationship. We were something more that nobody else will ever understand. He had turned into the father I never had. He made me believe in myself, he made me work hard for what I want, and to never give up on anything in life. His opinions meant a lot to me and I never wanted to let him down. Still to this day I know I could turn to him for anything and he would be there for me. In addition to being there for me with faith, guidance, love and support, he truly represents everything I hope to be as an Educator. Coach Snipes daily demonstrates behaviors and decisions that are ethically and emotionally worthy of the title of my hero. Point of Pride: I am very proud of where I come from and the values I been raised with to be true to myself and follow my heart. These values have helped become the Teen of Texas which I can’t even explain how proud I am to represent such a great state. Fun Fact: As much as I love dressing up and doing my make up being the typical “girly-girl” get out of my way when I’m on a 4-wheeler and there is mud insight. Keeping in tradition with the other title holders Fun Fact #2 I love collecting Cherished Teddies.
