Todays word - Prophecy over yourself. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. (Psalms 23:1 NKJV) One day, The Lord told me to prophesy over myself. I couldnt find any biblical basis for it so I doubted it was Him. I asked Lord is this biblical ? He replied do you realise what David was doing when he wrote Psalm 23 ? He then asked me how does it start? I said out loud The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. I looked at the verse again and realised the depth of what David meant by The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want? By calling The Lord his shepherd, David equated himself to a sheep which is weak, defenceless and always needing a guide. He humbled himself and put his protection, needs and guidance in The Lord his Shepherd. To me it means that He is the one who cares for me, watches over me, preserves me and protects me. David did not say if nor but nor even I hope so. He was definite - He is MY Shepherd. We have to be secure in His love for us. He died on the cross with His arms wide open to receive all who will come to Him. By I shall not want he meant, He shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory. He desires to give me His best. I am the apple of His eye and His thoughts of me are beautiful. I may not posses all that I wish for but I shall not want. It is written... I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread. (Psalms 37:25 NKJV). Prophecy over your own life. “What are you, mighty mountain? Before me you will become level ground!! I will live to declare the goodness of The Lord !! No weapon formed against me will prosper! Goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of The Lord forever and ever! I am the planting of God, I shall not be moved!! Prophecy over yourself !!! YES JESUS LOVES ME !!!
