Todays word of encouragement: John 4: 24, God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth! This is a very keen scripture in the sense that Jesus is giving a commandment through the use of the word must! He boldly states that those who worship God must worship Him in spirit and truth. 1 Cor 2:12 states, Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. So we have been given Gods Spirit; He lives in us and it is from and through His Spirit that we are able to worship Him and to know Him. Our intellectual pursuit of God through what we perceive as worship, our doctrinal theories, our self-evaluation etc etc etc, all have to take a back seat! We must deny self and unashamedly surrender our will to God and say, Father, not my will but Thy will be done. Anything other than doing it His way, through His Spirit will lead to destruction. Proverbs 16:2 says, All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, But The Lord weighs the spirits. I am so glad that we serve a God who is rich in mercy and grace, but there are conditions attached. We must do it His way! Those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, shall be filled! This is good news! So folks, lets worship God in spirit and truth because He said we must do it! What does that look like? Our intimacy with Him will paint a picture perfect revelation and demonstration! Dont let anyone tell you, it doesnt take all of that! How can a person take fire in his blossom and not show the effects thereof! He is a consuming fire! Enjoy your worship experience with the King! He delights in it! Blessings everyone!
